Most agree that Christmas is too commercial.  While the birth of the Christ should be its focus - sadly - finding the right gift at a steal of a deal is what gives many a sense of great joy or at least a headache.  Often dubbed as "Scrooge", Rufus felt Christmas had lost its true meaning and the season was one he began to dislike.  However over the years,  fans that have enjoyed his smooth soothing voice, catchy hooks and  his creative melodies on guitar have encouraged him to record Christmas songs.  So he finally completed the project he admits he never thought he would.  Come and Listen, Songs of the Savior is his third release.  Rufus chose 8 of his childhood favorites and two others by contemporary writers.  His hopes are that these 10 songs will not be considered songs of the season, but songs of the Savior and will bring hope and peace year round.
